SURAH DUHA
The Forenoon
(Maccie, Surah # 93, Verses 11 )
93:1 I swear by the early hours of the day (after sunrise)
93:2 And (by) the night when it covers with darkness
DURING THE PERIOD WHEN REVELATION WAS STOPPED
93:3 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you.
93:4 And the reward in the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world).
93:5 And Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you.
93:6 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter?
93:7 And Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance?
93:8 And did He not find you in need and make you rich?
93:9 Therefore, do not treat the orphan with oppression
93:10 And do not reject the beggars
93:11 And proclaim the blessings of your Lord.
SURAH SHARAH
The Opening Forth
(Maccie, Surah # 94, Verses 8 )
94:1 (Muhammad), have We not comforted your heart
94:2 And We removed from you your burden
94:3 which weighed so heavily on your back
94:4 And raised high for you your repute.
94:5 So surely, After every difficulty there is relief.
94:6 Certainly, after every difficulty there comes relief.
94:7 So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
94:8 And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your invocations.
SURAH AT-TIN
The Fig
(Maccie, Surah # 95, Verses 8 )
95:1 I swear by the fig and the olive,
95:2 And by Mount Sinai
95:3 And by this city of security (Makkah) ,
95:4 Indeed, We created humans in the best form.
95:5 But We will reduce them to the lowest of the low ˹in Hell˺,
95:6 Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a never ending reward
95:7 Now, what makes you deny the ˹final˺ Judgment?
95:8 Is Allah not the most just of all judges?
SURAH ALAQ
The Clot
(Maccie, Surah # 96, Verses 19 )
96:1 Read, (Muhammad), in the Name of your Lord Who created
96:2 He created man from a clot of blood.
96:3 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous,
96:4 Who has taught by the pen
96:5 Has taught man what he did not know
96:6 Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel
96:7 Because he considers himself self-sufficient.
96:8 Indeed, to your Lord is the return.
ABU JAHL
96:9 Have you (O Muhammad) seen him (Abu Jahl) who prevents,
96:10 A servant (Muhammad) when he prays?
96:11 What if this ˹servant˺ is ˹rightly˺ guided,
96:12 or encourages righteousness?
96:13 Tell me if he (Abu Jahl) denies (Quran), and turns away?
96:14 Does he not know that Allah sees?
96:15 No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -
96:16 A lying, sinful forelock!
96:17 So let him call his associates.
96:18 We will call the wardens of Hell.
96:19 Nay! (O Muhammad)! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah!
SURAH QADR
The Night of Decree
(Maccie, Surah # 97, Verses 5 )
97:1 Verily! We have sent it (Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)
97:2 And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?
97:3 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months
97:4 On this Night, the angels and the Ruh (Jibrael) descend by the permission of their Lord with His decree (to determine everyone's destiny).
97:5 This Night is all peace until the break of dawn.
