SURAH QAF

Qaf

(Maccie, Surah # 50, Verses 45 )

50:1 Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)

DENIAL OF DISBELIEVERS

50:2 Nay, they wonder that there has come to them a warner (Muhammad SAW) from among themselves. So the disbelievers say: "This is a strange thing!

50:3 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]?Such a return is impossible.”

50:4 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records.

50:5 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition.

CREATIONS OF EARTH

50:6 Have they not then looked at the sky above them: how We built it and adorned it ˹with stars˺, leaving it flawless?

50:7 As for the earth, We spread it out and placed upon it firm mountains, and produced in it every type of pleasant plant

50:8 An insight and a Reminder for every servant turning to Allah

50:9 And We send down blessed rain from the sky, bringing forth gardens and grains for harvest

50:10 And lofty palm trees having fruit(dates) arranged in layers -

50:11 As˺ a provision for ˹Our˺ servants. And with this ˹rain˺ We revive a lifeless land. Similar is the emergence ˹from the graves˺.

TRIBES WHO REJECTED ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGERS

50:12 Denied before them the people of Nuh, and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud,

50:13 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun, and the brothers of Lout

50:14 The residents of the Forest ( The people of Shu’aib)and the people of Tubba (Tubba’ Al-Ḥimiari was an ancient righteous Yemeni king whose people persisted in disbelief and were destroyed) Each rejected ˹their˺ messenger, so My warning was fulfilled.

50:15 Where We incapable of creating ˹them˺ the first time? In fact, they are in doubt about ˹their˺ re-creation.

CLOSER THAN “JUGULAR VEIN”

50:16 Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ created humankind and ˹fully˺ know what their souls whisper to them, and We are closer to them than ˹their˺ jugular vein.

50:17 As the two recording-angels—˹one˺ sitting to the right, and ˹the other to˺ the left—note ˹everything˺,

50:18 Not a word does a person utter without having a ˹vigilant˺ observer (angels) ready ˹to write it down.

50:19 And death's agony comes in truth. "This is what you have been avoiding!

DAY OF JUDGMENT

50:20 And the Trumpet will be blown. This is the Day ˹you were˺ warned of.

50:21 And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness.

50:22 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong".

50:23 His (angel) companion will say, "(Lord), the record of his deeds is with me and is all ready".

50:24 It will be said to both angels,˺ “Throw into Hell every stubborn disbeliever,

50:25 Preventer of good, aggressor, and doubter,

50:26 who set up another god with Allah. So cast them into the severe punishment.”

50:27 His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, but he was himself in error far astray."

ALLAH REPLIED

50:28 The Lord will say, "Do not argue in My presence; I had certainly sent you a warning.

50:29 My Word cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to ˹My˺ creation.”

HELL

50:30 ˹Beware of˺ the Day We will ask Hell, “Are you full ˹yet˺?” And it will respond, “Are there any more?”

PARADISE

50:31  And Paradise will be brought near to the Muttaqun

50:32 (and they will be told), "This is what you were promised. It is for everyone who turned in repentance to God, kept his promise,

50:33 "Who feared the Most Beneficent (Allah) in the Ghaib (unseen): , and brought a heart turned in repentance (to Him)

50:34 (They will be told), "Enter Paradise in peace and, therein, you will live forever".

50:35 There they will have whatever they desire, and with Us is ˹even˺ more. 

50:36 ˹Imagine˺ how many peoples We destroyed before them, who were far mightier than them. Then ˹when the torment came,˺ they ˹desperately˺ sought refuge in the land. ˹But˺ was there any escape?

50:37 This (Quran) is a reminder for everyone who understands, listens, and sees.

50:38 Indeed, We created the heavens and the earth and everything in between in six Days, and We were not ˹even˺ touched with fatigue.

TIMING FOR PRAISING ALLAH( FAJR- ASAR- TAHAJUD)

50:39 So be patient ˹O Prophet˺ with what they say. And glorify the praises of your Lord before sunrise and before sunset.

50:40 And glorify Him during part of the night and after the prostration(prayer)

DAY OF JUDGMENT

50:41 Wait for the day when the trumpet will be sounded from a nearby place.

50:42 On that day they will certainly hear the sound of the trumpet and that will be the Day of Resurrection.

50:43 It is certainly We Who give life and cause death. And to Us is the final return.

50:44 ˹Beware of˺ the Day the earth will split open, they will quickly come out of their graves. This is how easy it is for Us to bring about the Day of Resurrection.

50:45 We know best what they say. And you ˹O Prophet˺ are not ˹there˺ to compel them ˹to believe˺. So remind with the Quran ˹only˺ those who fear My warning.
