SURAH AL- QIYAMAH
The Resurrection
(Maccie, Surah # 75, Verses 40)
DAY OF RESURRECTION
75:1 I swear by the Day of Judgment;
75:2 I swear by the self-accusing soul
75:3 Do people think We cannot reassemble their bones?
75:4 Yes ˹indeed˺! We are ˹most˺ capable of restoring ˹even˺ their very fingertips.
75:5 But man desires to continue in sin.
75:6 He asks: "When will be this Day of Judgment?"
75:7 So when vision is dazzled
75:8 And the moon darkens (eclipsed)
75:9 And the sun and the moon are joined together,
75:10 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?
75:11 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge!
75:12 The only place of refuge will be with Allah.
75:13 All will then be informed of what they have sent forth and left behind.
75:14 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness,
75:15 Even if he presents his excuses.
IT IS UPON ALLAH TO MAKE MUHAMMAD MEMORIZE & RECITE QURAN
75:16 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran.
75:17 It is certainly upon Us to ˹make you˺ memorize and recite it.
75:18 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation.
75:19 Then it is surely upon Us to make it clear ˹to you˺.
LOVE OF WORLDLY LIFE AND NEGLECT HEREAFTER
75:20 No indeed; but you love the worldly life,
75:21 and neglect the Hereafter.
75:22 On that Day ˹some˺ faces will be bright,
75:23 Looking at their Lord (Allah);
75:24 And ˹other˺ faces will be gloomy,
75:25 Thinking that something devastating was about to fall on them;
DEATH
75:26 Some people, certainly, do not believe in it, but when a person's soul reaches up to his throat
75:27 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?"
75:28 And he (the dying person) will realize that it is (the time) of departing (death);
75:29 and ˹then˺ their feet are tied together ˹in a shroud˺.
75:30 On that day they will be driven to your Lord ˹alone˺
75:31 So he (the disbeliever) neither believed nor prayed!
75:32 But [instead], he denied and turned away.
75:33 And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].
75:34 Woe to you, and woe!
75:35 Again, woe to you, and even more woe!
75:36 Do people think they will be left without purpose?
75:37 Was he not a sperm-drop spilled?
75:38 Then he was a blood-clot, and He created and formed,
75:39 And made of him two mates, the male and the female.
75:40 Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?
