CHARITY/DONATION/ GOODLY LOAN
SPEND IN THE CAUSE OF ALLAH
2:268. Shaitan threatens you with poverty and orders you to commit Fahsha. whereas Allah promises you Forgiveness from Himself and Bounty, and Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.
104:2 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
104:3 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal (live forever).
2:195. And spend in the Cause of Allah and do not throw yourselves into destruction (by not spending your wealth), and do good. Truly, Allah loves the good-doers.
2:254. O you who believe! Spend of that with which We have provided for you, before a Day comes when there will be no bargaining, nor friendship, nor intercession. And it is the disbelievers who are the Zalimun.
2:261. The likeness of those who spend their wealth in the Way of Allah, is as the likeness of a grain (of corn); it grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives a manifold increase to whom He pleases. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower.
2:262. Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and do not follow their charity with reminders of their generosity or hurtful words—they will get their reward from their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
2:271. To give charity publicly is good, but to give to the poor privately is better for you (Allah) will forgive you some of your sins. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.
2:272 Whatever you ˹believers˺ spend in charity, it is for your own good—as long as you do so seeking the pleasure of Allah. Whatever you donate will be paid back to you in full, and you will not be wronged."
2:274. Those who spend their wealth (in Allah’s Cause) by night and day, in secret and in public, they shall have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
3:17.They are those who are patient, sincere, and obedient with sincere devotion in worship to Allah. Those who spend and who pray for forgiveness in the last hour of the night(before dawn)
3:134. Who spend [in the cause of Allah] during ease and hardship and who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good;
4:38. Likewise for those who spend their wealth to show off and do not believe in Allah or the Last Day. And whoever takes Satan as an associate—what an evil associate they have!
9:34 O believers! Indeed, many rabbis and monks consume people’s wealth wrongfully and hinder ˹others˺ from the Way of Allah. Give good news of a painful torment to those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah’s cause.
9:53 Say: "Spend (in Allah's Cause) willingly or unwillingly, it will not be accepted from you. Verily, you are ever a people who are Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)."
9:54 And what prevented their donations from being accepted is that they have lost faith in Allah and His Messenger, they never come to prayer except half-heartedly and that they do not spend except while they are unwilling.
23:60 And those who give that (their charity) which they give with their hearts full of fear, because they are sure to return to their Lord.
25:64 They are those who spend the night worshiping their Lord, prostrating, and standing,
30:39 Whatever loans you give, ˹only˺ seeking interest at the expense of people’s wealth will not increase with Allah. But whatever charity you give, ˹only˺ seeking the pleasure of Allah—it is they whose reward will be multiplied.
34:39 Say, ˹O Prophet,˺ “Surely ˹it is˺ my Lord ˹Who˺ gives abundant or limited provisions to whoever He wills of His servants. And whatever you spend in charity, He will compensate ˹you˺ for it. For He is the Best Provider.”
35:29Verily, those who recite the Book of Allah (this Quran), and perform AsSalat , and spend (in charity) out of what We have provided for them, secretly and openly, hope for a (sure) tradegain that will never perish.
36:47 When they are told to spend for the cause of Allah out of what He has provided for them for their sustenance, the disbelievers say to the believers,"Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error."
47:38 Behold! You are those who are called to spend in the Cause of Allah, yet among you are some who are niggardly. And whoever is niggardly, it is only at the expense of his own self. But Allah is Rich (Free of all wants), and you (mankind) are poor. And if you turn away, He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes.
63:10 And spend (in charity) of that with which We have provided you, before death comes to one of you and he says: "My Lord! If only You would give me respite for a little while (i.e. return to the worldly life), then I should give Sadaqah (i.e. Zakat) of my wealth , and be among the righteous.
64:16 So keep your duty to Allah and fear Him as much as you can; listen and obey; and spend in charity, that is better for yourselves. And whosoever is saved from his own greediness, then they are the successful ones.
92:5 As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him,
GOODLY LOAN
2:245. Who is he that will lend to Allah a goodly loan so that He may multiply it to him many times? And it is Allah that decreases or increases (your provisions), and unto Him you shall return.
64:17 If you lend to Allah a goodly loan (i.e. spend in Allah's Cause) He will double it for you, and will forgive you. And Allah is Most Ready to appreciate and to reward, Most Forbearing
73:20 Your Lord knows that you and a group of those who are with you get up for prayer sometimes for less than two-thirds of the night, sometimes half and sometimes one-third of it. God determines the duration of the night and day. He knew that it would be hard for you to keep an exact account of the timing of the night prayers, so He turned to you with forgiveness. Thus, recite from the Quran as much as possible. He knew that some of you would be sick, others would travel in the land to seek Allah's favors, and still others would fight for the cause of Allah. Thus, recite from the Quran as much as possible, be steadfast in prayer, pay the zakat , and give virtuous loans to Allah. Whatever good deeds you save for the next life, you will certainly find them with Allah. This is the best investment, and for this you will find the greatest reward. Ask forgiveness from Allah. Allah is All-forgiving and All-merciful.
CHARITY IS FOR WHO:
2:273. (Charity is) for Fuqara (the poor), who in Allah's Cause are restricted (from travel), and cannot move about in the land (for trade or work). The one who knows them not, thinks that they are rich because of their modesty. You may know them by their mark, they do not beg of people at all. And whatever you spend in good, surely Allah knows it well.˹
FORGIVE PEOPLE’S LOAN IS ALSO ACT OF CHARITY
2:280. And if the debtor is in a hard time (has no money), then grant him time till it is easy for him to repay. And if you waive it as an act of charity, it will be better for you, if only you knew.
