3:14.Worldly desires, wives, children, treasures of gold and silver, horses of noble breed, cattle, and farms are all made to seem attractive to men. All these are the pleasures of this worldly life but in the life to come Allah has the best place for people to dwell.
4:119 Verily, I will mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires; and certainly, I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allah." And whoever takes Shaitan as a Wali (protector or helper) instead of Allah, has surely suffered a manifest loss.

4:135 O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even though it be against yourselves, or your parents, or close relatives, be they rich or poor, Allah is a Better Protector to both (than you). Let not your desires cause you to commit injustice. If you deviate from the truth in your testimony, or decline to give your testimony at all, know that Allah is Well Aware of what you do.

Such are the people who have called Our revelations mere lies. (Muhammad), tell them such stories so that perhaps they will think.
11:15 Whoever desires ˹only˺ this worldly life and its luxuries, We will pay them in full for their deeds in this life—nothing will be left out.

25:43 How can you (Muhammad) be the guardian of those who have chosen their own desires as their Lord?
28:50 So if they fail to respond to you, then know that they only follow their desires. And who could be more astray than those who follow their desires with no guidance from Allah? Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.

47:14 Can the one who is on a clear proof from their Lord be considered equal to the one whose evil deeds are made to seem attractive to him and who follows his own desires?
53:23 They are but names which you have named, you and your fathers, for which Allah has sent down no authority. They follow nothing but ˹inherited˺ assumptions and whatever ˹their˺ souls desire, although ˹true˺ Guidance has already come to them from their Lord.
