(Maccie, Surah # 69, Verses 52 )

DAY OF RESURRECTION

69:1 The Reality!

69:2 What is Reality?

69:3 And what will make you know what Reality is?

NATIONS WERE DESTROYED WHO DENIED ALLAH’S MESSENGERS

69:4 Thamud and 'Aad denied the Striking Calamity.

69:5 As for Thamûd, they were destroyed by an overwhelming blast.

69:6 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind.

69:7 Which Allah imposed upon them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were hollow trunks of palm trees.

69:8 Do you see any of them left alive?

69:9 Also, Pharaoh and those before him, and ˹the people of˺ the overturned cities ˹of Lut˺ indulged in sin,

69:10 And they disobeyed their Lord's Messenger, so He punished them with a strong punishment.

69:11 Indeed, when the water overflowed, We carried your (Nuh’s) ancestors in the sailing ship

69:12 So that We may make this a reminder to you, and that attentive ears may understand it.

JUDGMENT DAY

69:13 Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one),

69:14 and the earth and mountains will be lifted up and crushed with one blow,

69:15 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur,

69:16 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.

69:17 And the angels will be on its sides,On that Day eight ˹mighty angels˺ will carry the Throne of your Lord above them.

69:18 You will then be presented ˹before Him for judgment˺, and none of your secrets will stay hidden.

RECORDS GIVEN IN RIGHT HAND

69:19 As for those given their records in their right hand, they will say ˹happily˺, “Here ˹everyone˺! Read my record!

69:20 I was sure that the record of my deeds would be shown to me"

69:21 So he will be in a pleasant life -

69:22 In an elevated Garden,

69:23 whose fruit will hang within reach.

69:24 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past".

RECORDS GIVEN IN LEFT HAND

69:25 And as for those given their record in their left hand, they will say ˹bitterly˺, “I wish I had not been given my record,

69:26 "And that I had never known, how my Account is?

69:27 "I wish, would that it had been my end (death)!

69:28 My wealth has not benefited me!

69:29 Gone from me is my authority."

69:30 (It will be said): "Take him and chain him,

69:31 Then throw him in the blazing Fire.

69:32 Then tie them up with chains seventy arms long.

69:33 Indeed, he did not used to believe in Allah , the Most Great,

69:34 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor.

69:35 So this Day they will have no close friend here,

69:36 Nor any food except ˹oozing˺ pus,

69:37 None will eat except the Khati'un (sinners, disbelievers, polytheists, etc.).

69:38 So I swear by what you see

69:39 And what you do not see

QURAN

69:40 Indeed, this ˹Quran˺ is the recitation of a noble Messenger.

69:41 It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe!

69:42 Nor the word of a soothsayer(fortune-teller) little do you remember.

69:43 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

SEVERE WARNING FOR MUHAMMAD(PBUH)

69:44 And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings,

69:45 We would have caught hold of him by his right hand

69:46 then We would surely have cut his life-vein

69:47 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him.

QURAN IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH

69:48 And indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder for the righteous.

69:49 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran).

69:50 And indeed, it will be [a cause of] regret upon the disbelievers.

69:51 And Verily, it (this Quran) is an absolute truth with certainty .

69:52 So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.
