PROPHET LUT

7:80 And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: "Why do you commit such indecent acts that have never been committed by anyone before?

7:81 "Verily, you practice your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins)."

7:82 And the answer of his people was only that they said: "Drive them out of your town, these are indeed men who want to be pure (from sins)!"

7:83 Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment).

7:84 And We rained down on them a rain (of stones). Then see what was the end of the Mujrimun 

11:77 When Our messenger-angels came to Lot, he was distressed and worried by their arrival.1 He said, “This is a distressful day.”

11:78And ˹the men of˺ his people—who were used to shameful deeds—came to him rushing. He pleaded, “O my people! Here are my daughters ˹for marriage˺—they are pure for you. So fear Allah, and do not humiliate me by disrespecting my guests. Is there not ˹even˺ a single right-minded man among you?”

11:79They argued, “You certainly know that we have no need for your daughters. You already know what we desire!”

11:80 He responded, “If only I had the strength ˹to resist you˺ or could rely on a strong supporter.”

11:81 The angels said, “O Lot! We are the messengers of your Lord. They will never reach you. So travel with your family in the dark of night, and do not let any of you look back, except your wife. She will certainly suffer the fate of the others.1 Their appointed time is the morning. Is the morning not near?”

11:82 So when Our Commandment came, We turned (the towns of Sodom in Palestine) upside down, and rained on them stones of baked clay, piled up;

11:83 marked by your Lord. Such a punishment is not far away from the unjust people.

15:58 They (the angels) said: "We have been sent to a people who are criminals”

15:59 Except the family of Lot; indeed, we will save them all

15:60 Except his wife." Allah decreed that she is of those who remain behind.

15:61 And when the messengers came to the family of Lot,

15:62 He said: "Verily! You are people unknown to me."

15:63 They responded, “We have come to you with that ˹torment˺ which they have doubted.

15:64 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful.

15:65 So travel with your family in the dark of night, and follow ˹closely˺ behind them. Do not let any of you look back, and go where you are commanded.”

15:66 And We conveyed to him [the decree] of that matter: that those [sinners] would be eliminated by early morning.

15:67 And the people of the city came rejoicing.

15:68 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me.

15:69 Have fear of Allah and do not humiliate me".

15:70 They said, "Have we not forbidden you from [protecting] people?"

15:71 He said, “O my people! Here are my daughters˹so marry them˺ if you wish to do so.”

15:72 By your life, [O Muhammad], indeed they were, in their intoxication, wandering blindly.

15:73 So the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook them at sunrise.

15:74 And We turned the cities ˹of Sodom and Gomorrah˺ upside down and rained upon them stones of baked clay.

15:75 Surely! In this are signs, for those who see

15:76 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now).

15:77 Surely, in this is a sign for those who believe.

27:54And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing?

27:55 Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly.

27:56 There was no other answer given by his people except that they said: "Drive out the family of Lout (Lot) from your city. Verily, these are men who want to be clean and pure!"

27:57 So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind.

27:58And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.

29:278And (remember) Lout, when he said to his people:“You certainly commit a shameful deed that no man has ever done before you.

29:29 Do you really lust after ˹other˺ men, rob the travelers, and practice immorality ˹openly˺ in your gatherings?” His people’s only response was to say ˹mockingly˺: “Bring Allah’s punishment upon us, if what you say is true.”

29:30 Lut prayed, “My Lord! Help me against the people of corruption.”

29:31When Our messenger-angels came to Abraham with the good news ˹of the birth of Isaac˺, they said, “We are going to destroy the people of this city ˹of Sodom˺, for its people have persisted in wrongdoing.”

29:32He said, “But Lut is there!” They responded, “We know best who is there. We will certainly save him and his family—except his wife, who is one of the doomed.”

29:33And when Our messenger-angels came to Lot, he was distressed and worried by their arrival. They reassured ˹him˺, “Do not fear, nor grieve. We will surely save you and your family—except your wife, who is one of the doomed.

29:34 We are certainly bringing down a punishment from heaven upon the people of this city for their rebelliousness.”

29:35 And We did leave ˹some of˺ its ruins as a clear lesson for people of understanding.

54:33 The people of Lot ˹also˺ rejected the warnings.

54:34 Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn

54:35 as a blessing from Us. This is how We reward whoever gives thanks.

54:36 Lot warned them against Our torment, but they doubt the warnings!

54:37 And they indeed sought to shame his guest (by asking to commit sodomy with them). So We blinded their eyes, "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings."

54:38 And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment.

54:39 Then, how (terrible) was my Torment and my warnings?
